TIL comparing two trimmer blades side by side saved my fade game

Last month I was struggling with harsh lines on my fades, so I grabbed my usual Wahl blade and a cheaper knockoff from a supply show in Denver. I did a test run on mannequin heads, same guard settings, same technique, and the outline on one side was visibly cleaner. The knockoff had more blade chatter and pulled at the hair, which caused those little ridges I kept fighting. I switched to the higher end blade for all my cuts this week and my clients are finally not asking for touch ups. Has anyone else seen that big a gap between blades or am I just late to this?
