Used to buzz everything with the same guard top to bottom
What changed was watching my buddy taper a fade by switching guards every inch and it looked ten times cleaner, so now I actually layer the clipper work like that too... anyone else notice how much difference the steps make on the sides?

A friend of mine let his son do one side with three guards and the other with just the one, and he walked around lopsided for two weeks until it grew out enough to fix it. You can really tell the difference when you bother with the steps.

Is sticking with one guard really that bad if you're going for a uniform look though lol?
