Bought a $180 digital thermometer for my stick burner, and my $12 dial one reads the same
I grabbed a ThermoWorks at the Ace in Tulsa about 4 months ago because everyone on here swears you can't cook without one. Set it next to my old dial thermometer at the grate and they tracked within 5 degrees the whole cook. I'm out $180 for something a $12 probe did fine, and the app kept dropping the signal anyway. What are you actually gaining from the fancy ones, or am I just using mine wrong?
