Oh man, that is the WORST. I have SO been there. One time I knocked my whole patio table over with the wind and sent a brisket flying into the grass. It was a HOT mess. Honestly, I think competition cooking is just 90% problem solving and 10% actually BBQ. My rib rack has a mind of its own too, so I feel your pain. At least your story makes me feel a little better about my own kitchen disasters!

And that 90% problem solving is exactly why I keep a roll of duct tape in my grill bag now. Learned that lesson the hard way after my smoker tried to take a walk across the deck during a brisket cook.
