Unpopular opinion: A Kamado Joe is way better than a Weber kettle for long smokes

Used my buddy's Weber kettle out in Omaha last weekend for a brisket. I kept having to add charcoal every 2 hours and the temp was all over the place. My Kamado Joe holds 225 for like 10 hours without touching it. Less babysitting, better bark. Anyone else find it hard to go back after switching?

Did you have to crack the vents on that Weber every 15 minutes too? I swear I spent more time fussing with that thing than actually drinking beer.

Spending more time fussing than drinking is a definite problem, @patb12.

Honestly @patb12 you're not wrong about the vent fussing, but for me that's part of the fun. Ngl, I like having to mess with it, feels more like cooking than just setting and forgetting. Kamado Joe is a tank for long smokes though, no argument there.
