A customer asked me to 'un-salt' his fries yesterday

I was working the drive-thru at my burger spot when a guy pulls up and orders a large fries. He gets to the window, takes one, and says 'These are too salty. Can you take the salt off?' I just stared for a second. I told him I could make a fresh batch with no salt, but he said no, he wanted these exact fries, just without the salt. I offered him a napkin to wipe them, which he actually tried. He drove off looking mad. Has anyone else gotten a request that just made you pause and wonder how the world works?

Wow, that's a whole new level of customer logic right there.

Hold on, you're missing the point. That customer logic isn't broken, it's just coming from a different angle. They probably have a reason for acting that way we just don't see yet. Calling it broken right off the bat is what makes people feel unheard. We've all been the customer with a weird request that made perfect sense to us in the moment.

My logic, @andrew639, is a special kind of broken.
