I finally compared paper towels head to head at the coffee shop
Ran out of the cheap generic ones and grabbed a roll of the heavy duty Select-A-Size from the supply closet - the difference in cleanup time was almost 3 minutes per rush. Has anyone else noticed how much faster you get through customers when you don't have to double or triple up on towels?

That "almost 3 minutes per rush" is a HUGE difference for such a simple swap.

I remember an article saying even small time sinks like that can mess with your entire shift rhythm. You start rushing the next thing to make up for the lost time, and then mistakes happen.
