I hit 10,000 deliveries on the app today and it made me think about the old days

Back when I started, you'd get maybe 20 orders on a good Friday night. Now my phone buzzes nonstop, and half the houses have those little lockboxes for food. What's the biggest shift you've seen in your own service job?

Used to think contactless was just a fad, but those lockboxes are everywhere now. What's the weirdest drop-off you've had?

Honestly I get why people find the lockboxes weird but I kinda like them. I mean it's just easier sometimes, you don't have to wait around for someone. The weirdest thing I got was a sealed envelope with just a single key inside, no note or anything. Still have no idea what it was for.

Seriously, those lockboxes are breeding. I saw one chained to a park bench last week. Weirdest drop had to be a single shoe, just a left sneaker, sitting perfectly in the box like it was a display case. Who does that? What do you even do with one shoe?
