One comment from a regular changed how I handle angry customers
So this older guy who comes in every Tuesday for his coffee fix pulled me aside after I dealt with a really rude customer. He said "you handled that better than most, but you let them get to you." And he was right, I was still stewing about it 10 minutes later while making his drink. He told me he used to work security and learned to just picture the angry person as a toddler throwing a fit, because that's basically what it is. Has anyone else had a customer or regular drop some wisdom that actually stuck with you?
