Rant: guy at my bar tried to pay with a $2 bill and called me the criminal
I tend bar at a spot in Boise and last Friday a guy ordered two wells and a basket of fries, total came to $19. He hands me a $2 bill and I tell him we can't take it because it won't drop in the till right. He goes off for 10 minutes about how it's legal money and I'm breaking the law by saying no. I finally just took the thing and gave him $17 back out of my own pocket to make him leave. Then he comes back Saturday with a whole stack of them, like 30 bills, trying to buy rounds for the bar. Now there's a sign taped to my register that says no $2 bills and my manager thinks I'm the problem. What do you even say to someone like that without losing your cool?
