Sellers rushing repairs always miss the details

I work with home sellers, and lately, they all want to save cash by doing their own fixes. One guy tried to patch a hole in the drywall but used too much spackle. It looked awful when the light hit it during a tour. Buyers noticed and asked about water damage. Now he has to explain it wasn't a leak, just bad work.

No WAY they asked about a leak from that! A glob of spackle isn't a red flag, it's a neon sign.

Eh, would buyers really walk away over that?

Depends on how much they hate surprise repairs.
