Always used to hate adjusting cup and cone hubs
For ages I'd just crank the locknuts tight and hope for the best. Then a guy at the shop in Bend showed me his trick: tighten the cone just until you feel a tiny bit of drag, then back it off a quarter turn. Did that on a customer's old Trek last week and the wheel spun smooth as butter. No more wobble. Anyone else have a better method for getting that adjustment just right?

That quarter turn trick is the real deal.

What if that trick only works on some types of faucets? I've seen it fail and leave people with a worse drip. It feels like a temporary fix for a deeper problem.
