Lost $60 on a no-name cassette tool that slipped on the first try
Picked this cheap cassette lockring tool off an auction site last month because my shop's Park tool was borrowed and never came back. Figured how hard can it be, right? It stripped the splines on the very first cassette I tried to remove. Spent an hour with a punch and hammer getting the lockring off a customer's wheel. Wasted money and looked bad in front of the guy. Anyone else had luck with budget tools or is this just a lesson I had to learn the hard way?
