Repacked my 2,000th hub tonight, when did numbers stop being numbers?

I kept a tally in my shop notebook for years, and while doing a vintage campy front hub after close I saw the count land on exactly 2,000. That number used to just mean work, but now it feels like a wall of small victories, every loose ball and grease smear attached to a customer or a story. Does anyone else hit a milestone like this and suddenly measure their whole career in odd increments like bearings instead of years?

Counted bearings for years thinking it was silly, till 2,000 hit and it meant everything.
