Serious question, has anyone else switched from grease to assembly paste for carbon seatposts?
I used to think regular bike grease was fine for everything, but a customer's carbon seatpost kept slipping in his Trek Emonda. After three tries with different torque settings, a buddy at the shop in Austin suggested I try Tacx carbon assembly paste. The difference was immediate, no more creaking or slipping even after a full season of riding. What other specific jobs have you found where the right paste or compound made a huge difference?
