Swapped to wax chain lube three months ago and my drivetrain is still spotless

I was always a wet lube guy because I ride in rain a lot here in Portland. Finally tried Molten Speed Wax after a buddy wouldn't shut up about it. Stripped the chain, dunked it, let it cool. Three months later I've only reapplied once and there's zero black gunk on my cassette or chainrings. My shifting is still crisp too. Only downside is having to plan ahead because waxing takes like an hour start to finish. Anyone else make the switch and find it worth the hassle?

The "stop cranking down on those bolts" thing really got me. I stripped a stem bolt a few years ago because I thought tighter was always better. Now I just go snug plus a tiny bit. Saved me from messing up a lot of parts since then.

Thought it was all hype and marketing BS honestly. Was dead set on wet lube for life. Then my chain rusted after one wet ride and I got sick of scrubbing black gunk off my jeans every week. Finally caved and tried it. Night and day difference. My chain looks brand new still and I've put like 200 miles on it in the rain. Shifting feels smoother than before honestly. The hour prep time sucks but not having to degrease every two weeks is worth it to me.

Yeah the "black gunk off my jeans" part hits home lol. I was that guy with greasy handprints on everything. What really sold me was how much quieter my drivetrain got after waxing. I do a quick re-wax every 300 miles or so using a crock pot I got for $10 at a thrift store. Just drop the chain in while I'm making dinner and it's ready by the time I eat.
