Vent: I was stuck on a seized seatpost for hours before trying a trick with a bench vise.
Clamped the frame by the seatpost itself and tapped the top tube with a dead blow hammer, which broke it free after 3 tries. Has anyone else found a better method for aluminum posts in steel frames?

Your vise trick is solid, that's basically the standard move. I've had luck with a long pipe wrench on the post for more leverage before. Heat on the frame around the seat tube can help too, but go easy with it.
