Took the job offer in Phoenix over the one in Portland, now my allergies are a full-time hobby

Last month I had two offers on the table. Portland had the vibe I wanted, coffee shops, rain, all that. Phoenix had 20% more pay and a cheaper apartment. I told myself I could handle the heat. Nobody warned me about the pollen. My sinuses have been on a 24/7 shift since I landed. I blow my nose more than I breathe. I even bought one of those air purifiers that looks like a robot vacuum. Day three I called my mom and said, "I think I made a 2,000 mile mistake." But the money is real, and my savings account finally has a comma in it. Has anyone else traded their dream city for a better paycheck and ended up with a weird new allergy situation?

Allergies are brutal out here, no lie. The dry air just swirls that stuff right into your face. But a savings account with a comma beats rain-soaked socks any day. Give it a few months, your body might chill out or you'll just get used to the constant nose blowing. Worst case, you move back with a bigger cushion and a crazy story.
