Breaking Bad vs Better Call Saul - I picked the wrong one first
Everyone says watch Breaking Bad before Better Call Saul, but I accidentally started with Saul and honestly liked it way more. The character building is just deeper and I wasn't constantly waiting for someone to get shot. Has anyone else gone against the popular order and regretted it?

@the_xena nailed it with the Howard thing. I watched Breaking Bad first, but my buddy started with Saul and now he can't stand Walter White. He says Saul feels like real people making dumb choices, not a cartoon villain. I was too busy waiting for explosions to appreciate the quiet scenes in Saul.

omg i totally get this lol i did the exact opposite i watched breaking bad first and honestly i struggled to get through better call saul at first cause i was just waiting for something crazy to happen every episode. but once i dropped that expectation and just let the show breathe it became my favorite too. the way they build up characters like nacho and how howard gets fleshed out over time is just so much more satisfying than the constant chaos in breaking bad. i actually think watching saul first might be better cause you get invested in the lawyer side of things before all the drug war stuff takes over. plus mike is way more interesting in saul cause you actually see what makes him tick instead of just grumpy hitman mode.
