Burned 4 hours on a bad show because I couldn't stop watching

I started this crime drama on Netflix last Tuesday and by the time I realized the plot made zero sense I was already 8 episodes in and too committed to quit, has anyone else stuck with a terrible series way longer than they should have?

Gotta push back on you a little here @knight.mason, because when I went through something similar it was a completely different ballgame. Your situation sounds like it was maybe a one-off rough patch, but mine dragged on for months with zero light at the end. Every time I thought it was turning around, something else would fall apart - like a never-ending loop of disappointment. So while I get the sentiment of "been there," I just don't think it's the same kind of been there unless you were also stuck in that same pit for that long without a way out.
