Finally watched The Bear season 2 last weekend after putting it off for a year
My coworker kept spoiling the Christmas episode so I figured I should just see it already, but now I can't find another show that matches that level of kitchen stress and it's been five days of scrolling, anyone got a recommendation that's similarly intense but not about food?

Yeah but have you tried Succession? It's a totally different setting but that same feeling of everyone about to snap at any moment. The dialogue moves just as fast too, like you're constantly waiting for someone to blow up. That show had me on the edge of my seat just like The Bear did.

Whoa hold on, I gotta push back on that a little @the_jason. Succession is good for sure but the tension there is mostly rich people being dramatic about business deals, you know? The Bear's anxiety comes from people who actually might lose their jobs or burn down a kitchen in real time, that's a different kind of pressure. Succession's dialogue is clever and fast but it's also cold and calculated, nobody's yelling over a hot stove about a broken fridge while a customer screams. Honestly I found myself checking my phone during Succession's slower episodes, never happens with The Bear because every second feels like a panic attack. They're both good shows but claiming they have the same feeling is like saying a panic attack and a heated board meeting feel the same, they just don't.
