Hit 500 episodes of The Office rewatches this week

I hit 500 total watches of The Office across all seasons after starting a new run last month. That's like 17 days of my life just sitting there watching Dunder Mifflin people. Honestly didn't think I'd get that high but it just keeps being my go-to background noise when I'm doing dishes or folding laundry. Anyone else got a comfort show they've watched way more times than they'd admit?

The "Niagara" episodes are the only ones I skip every single time. That whole wedding plot with Jim and Pam feels like a different show, too much cheese. The real comfort is in the boring warehouse scenes or the cold opens where Dwight burns his face off. 500 is rookie numbers though, I bet you've got the Halloween episode quotes memorized down to the second. At some point it stops being background noise and becomes a security blanket.

Used to force myself through Niagara every time thinking I was missing some hidden gem, but you're right, it's a total vibe shift. Might have to start skipping it too so I can get back to the real comfort stuff like Kevin dropping the chili.

I actually read an article last week that said The Office is the most rewatched show on streaming platforms, beating out Friends and Parks and Rec by a pretty big margin. Something about the mockumentary style making it easier to dip in and out of without paying full attention. I'm at like 300 something myself between all the times I've had it on while cooking or cleaning. The recycling is real with that show. You got a specific season you hit the most or do you just let it random play?
