I spent $80 on that new fantasy show everyone loves and I feel totally burned
Everyone online said it was the next big thing, so I bought the whole first season. After three episodes, I just could not get into it. The main character felt flat and the story moved way too slow for me. Has anyone else paid for a show that everyone else seemed to love but you just couldn't finish?

Honestly, what is it with shows that cost more than a decent dinner but move slower than a line at the DMV? I dropped forty bucks on that space drama last year and fell asleep by episode two. Feels like we're all just paying to test drive TV now. Tbh the hype machine is way better at selling shows than the writers are at making them interesting.

Spot on about the hype machine. These streaming services spend more on trailers and social media buzz than on making a middle episode that doesn't drag. It creates this weird pressure to like something just because it's the "event" show, even when the writing is boring.
