My brother convinced me to give 'Severance' another shot after I quit halfway through episode 2
He said the first three episodes are basically a slow burn setup, and if I didn't watch episode 4, I'd never get the payoff. I pushed through and finished the whole season in a weekend. The tension in that finale was unreal. Anyone else have a show that started slow but totally hooked you later?

Honestly, some shows just aren't worth the slow burn time.

Used to be all about those slow build shows, gave them every chance. Watched one last month that took six episodes to get going and just felt like a waste of my night. Changed my whole view on it. Now if nothing hooks me in two episodes tops, I'm out. Life's too short for bad TV.
