My roommate and I tried a 'no sleep' weekend to finish The Bear and it went off the rails

We made it through two seasons in Chicago last month, but by 4 AM we were yelling at the screen about a missing risotto order. Anyone else get way too invested in a show's kitchen drama?

Ever think a show about cooking would be boring? I used to skip those shows, thought they were just people yelling about food. Then I saw the episode where the whole kitchen falls apart over one messed up ticket. It's not about the risotto, it's about everything falling apart at once. Now I get why people yell at the screen.

Right, hollyg59, it's the pressure cooker effect. I mean, one wrong order and the whole system cracks, and you're just watching people try to hold it together. That's way more real than any fancy food.

Totally, and hollyg59 gets it. The fix is to just stop, take a breath, and call out the next ticket clearly, even if it feels slow.
