Spent $40 on a show's whole season and the ending made me want my money back

I got hooked on this sci-fi series everyone was talking about, so I paid to unlock the full season on a streaming service. It was about $40, which seemed fair for 10 episodes. The first seven were amazing, building up this huge mystery about the alien artifact. Then the last three episodes just... forgot to answer anything. The finale was a 45-minute character staring at a wall while vague music played. I actually checked if my internet had cut out. Has anyone else been burned by a show that starts strong and then just gives up?

I read an article calling that "the great TV letdown" and it's so real.

My buddy dropped like 60 bucks on that big fantasy show, the one with the dragon politics. He was obsessed for weeks. The last episode was just two characters having a boring talk in a garden for an hour, then it faded to black. He texted our group chat just the words "I have been robbed." We still give him grief about it.

Remember that cooking show where the final challenge was just making toast?
