Spent 6 hours looking for a show only to realize I already watched it

I was scrolling through Netflix for like 45 minutes last night, trying to find something new after finishing Ozark. Turns out I had already watched three seasons of the show I finally picked because the thumbnail looked totally different. Anyone else waste way too much time searching just to end up with something you've already seen?

Oh man, don't you love when your own brain plays games on you like that? I spent a solid hour the other night trying to start a movie on Hulu only to realize I'd already seen it - I just forgot because the poster looked different on a different platform. Now I've got three partial seasons of shows sitting in my Continue Watching that I can't tell if I finished or not. It's like Netflix is gaslighting me with its endless rows of content I've already consumed.

And @valw36 you're onto something bigger than just streaming. It's like our brains have a limited shelf for remembering what we've actually done versus what we've just scrolled past. I caught myself grabbing a bag of chips from the pantry earlier, walked to the couch, sat down, and then just stared at it like "why did I come here?" The same thing happens with social media feeds, I can't tell if I upvoted a post or just saw it and thought about upvoting it. Everything is starting to blur together, like digital déjà vu that never stops. Have you noticed how hard it is to remember if you actually finished a game on your phone or just let it run in the background?

I mean to be fair Ozark had like four seasons not three.
