TIL I was sleeping on The OA for 2 years because of the weird premise
I kept skipping it on Netflix because the whole 'blind girl goes missing and comes back with sight' thing sounded too out there. My buddy kept telling me it was good but I didn't listen. Finally gave it a shot last month during a rainy weekend and I was hooked after the first episode. The way they build the story is crazy good. The second season is even weirder but somehow it all works. Has anyone else almost missed a show because of a bad first impression?

The OA is exactly one of those shows where you have to trust your friends over the poster art. I almost skipped it too because the Netflix description makes it sound like some kind of supernatural mystery box that might not pay off. Then I caved and watched it during a sick day and couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks. The way they handle the whole dimension hopping thing in season two is so creative it made me feel dumb for almost missing it. Your graveyard of skipped shows sounds like a real shame, I hope you pull The OA out of there soon.

Honestly you and @williamhill changed my mind, I'm adding The OA to my list.

Man, I've got a whole graveyard of shows I skipped because I judged the poster wrong. The OA's one of those I need to circle back to (before I forget the remote exists again).
