Coal vs charcoal, I flipped after a cheap trade demo
Watched a guy at the county fair in Abilene run a knife edge with coal and then charcoal, the heat control difference was night and day in about 15 minutes. What convinced me was how the coal held a steady temp while the charcoal spiked every time I turned the blower, anyone else switch over after seeing that side by side?
Coal wins, no contest. Ran both at a cookout last month and the charcoal side kept me jumping around with the vents while the coal side just sat there and did its job. Charcoal spikes hard when you give it air, that steady burn is what sold me too. Made the switch and never looked back.
