Forgot to check the weather before a big forge weld and a gust of wind sent my coal dust all over my neighbor's new white fence.

Man, did you at least go over there right away? @noahcampbell is right, offering to clean it is the bare minimum. That coal dust is gonna stain like crazy if it sits, and a new white fence is a huge deal. I'd be grabbing my pressure washer and some cleaner before they even had a chance to get mad.
