My barista friend told me to stop ordering 'extra dry' cappuccinos and it stung
I was at a coffee shop in Portland last Tuesday, and my buddy who works there finally snapped. He said ordering 'extra dry' just means I want hot milk foam with no coffee flavor, and I'm paying $6 for the privilege of looking fancy. I got defensive at first, but then I tried a regular cappuccino and realized he was right. Has anyone else had a food or drink habit that got called out and made you feel kind of dumb?
