Found out Catan has been translated into 40+ languages and my brain broke a little
I was reading the little rulebook insert that comes with the base game last weekend and it mentioned the game has sold over 40 million copies worldwide since 1995. That number hit me harder than it should have. I started thinking about how many kitchen tables have had sheep and brick cards scattered across them, and I just sat there for a minute. It's wild that a game about trading wood for sheep is basically a global handshake at this point. What game do you pull out when you want to make sure everyone at the table already knows how to play?
