I rolled my eyes at a friend's 3D printed insert organizer for 6 months until I tried it last weekend
My buddy Dan kept talking up this custom insert he printed for Viticulture. I figured it was just another way to spend more money on plastic junk. He brought it over Saturday and I have to admit it cut setup time from 10 minutes to maybe 3. No more hunting for worker meeples under the box flap. Now I‘m looking at a used Ender 3 on Craigslist. Has anyone else caved on something like this and regretted the wallet hit?

you figured it was just another way to spend more money on plastic junk" - but tbh I'd rather spend that money on actual games or expansions. The time saved organizing doesn't really bother me that much.

Yeah, that "plastic junk" part really hit home for me @nelson.nancy. I've got a drawer full of organizers that I bought and barely used, and looking at it now I just think about all the DLC packs I could have grabbed instead. The time I spend hunting for tokens or cards is like five minutes, maybe... it's not that big of a deal. Plus there's something kind of nice about the mess, you know? Makes it feel more like a real hobby and less like a chore with extra steps.
