My copy of Ticket to Ride Europe had a board split right down the middle last game night

It happened during setup last Friday, just as I was unfolding the map. The cardboard had worn thin along the fold from maybe a hundred plays over the last eight years. I taped it up with some clear packing tape so we could still play, but it felt a bit sad. Do you have a favorite old game that's starting to show its age?

Totally get that sad feeling when a well-loved game starts falling apart! My old copy of Carcassonne has tiles so worn you can barely see the roads anymore, and @alex_nguyen is right about Catan showing its history. Those hexes get soft and fuzzy at the edges after years of trading sheep for ore. It's like the game board itself becomes a record of every fun night you had.

Disagree, those worn edges show love like @alex_nguyen's board.

My old Catan board looks like a road map of regret.
