My kid said something about my game shelf that stuck with me
My eight year old was looking at my collection and asked, 'Dad, why do you keep the games you never play?' I realized I was holding onto boxes for status, not fun. Do you ever feel like you collect games more than you actually play them?

Oh man, that hits a little too close to home. My shelf is basically a museum of good intentions at this point (I swear I'll get to Gloomhaven someday). It's gotten to where I feel guilty looking at some of those boxes.

Used to feel that way too, but not anymore.

Yeah, I was the same way until I started just giving games away to friends. Felt way better than staring at a guilty pile.
