Shoutout to anyone debating between foam-core and plastic inserts

I went back and forth on insert materials for Gloomhaven for 3 weeks. Picked foam-core and spent 6 hours cutting it myself - the box closes flush now and setup takes 5 minutes instead of 20. Has anyone else regretted the plastic option after a few plays?

Gloomhaven was my first big organizer project too, and I actually went the plastic route. I picked up the Broken Token insert and honestly, after 40 scenarios, I still don't regret it. Those foam-core cuts you made sound like a labor of love, but for me, the plastic pieces snapped together in an hour and I was playing that same night. The box closes fine, maybe a half-inch gap, but it sits on my shelf just like yours does. I guess I see the foam as more of a hobby project and the plastic as more of a tool to get the game on the table faster. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

Totally feel this @mila_perry13, it's like ikea vs hand-built furniture vibes all over again.
