Why does everyone at my local game store in Dayton treat solo gamers like we're doing it wrong?
I went to a board game night at a store in Dayton last Friday and played a solo game of Ark Nova at a table by myself while about fifteen people played group games around me. Three separate people came over to ask if I was waiting for someone or if I needed help finding a group, and one guy actually said 'that game is way better with other people, you know.' I get that this hobby is built around playing together, but some of us have schedules that don't line up and we still want to play the heavy stuff. It felt less like concern and more like I was breaking some unspoken rule. Has anyone else run into this at their local store, or is it just mine?
