Why does nobody talk about how some board game groups can get way too serious?
Last week at our local game cafe, a player got genuinely upset over a rules dispute in a casual game of Catan, which made me think back to a game night three years ago where a friend quit our group because we weren't 'competitive enough'.

Actually, I like when a group cares about the rules. @grant.sam, that sounds rough, but a clear DM can make the game better for everyone.

Oh man, my buddy's D&D group totally fell apart because the DM started treating it like a pro sport.
