I finally got the antique boiler in the library basement to hold pressure.
The whole building feels warmer now, and the staff is thrilled.

That's a huge win... those old systems are so finicky. Must be a relief to have real heat again.

People make such a big deal over tiny upgrades. Was it actually broken or just a little slow to start? Most of those old units work fine if you just leave them alone.

My buddy's old furnace was like that, it would take forever to get going and then just cut out. He finally got it swapped out last week and said his house feels normal for the first time in years.
