Pro tip: spent $80 on a magnetic square and it paid for itself in one job
I used to just use a speed square and level for layout, but man was I slow. Picked up a Strong Hand MagSquare at a supply house in Gary and it cut my fit-up time in half on a tank project last Tuesday. Anybody else find one tool that just clicked for them like that?

Oh man, that magnetic square sounds like a lifesaver. I remember my dad swearing by a old Craftsman hammer he had for thirty years, never found another one that balanced quite right.

Nah, Craftsman hammers aren't that old. They started making them in the 1920s. Your dad's hammer was probably from the 60s or 70s. Those old ones had a wood handle and a curved claw. The balance was different than the newer fiberglass ones.
