Yeah, "totally changed my spine alignment"? I gotta call BS on that one. $120 for a curved sewing awl and it fixed your back? Come on, man. That sounds more like you just sat up straighter because you were excited about a new tool, not because the awl itself did anything magic. I've seen people claim all sorts of things about ergonomic gadgets and 9 times out of 10 it's just placebo or they wanted to justify the purchase. But hey, if it works for you and you're not in pain, I guess that's a win, just don't expect everyone else to buy into that story.

@simonl11 I hear you on being skeptical about pricey ergonomic gear. A few years back I got a cheap foam roller and started using it for 10 minutes a day, and my lower back pain just faded over time. Maybe it was placebo or just good luck, but if it stops hurting who cares why it worked.
