Isn't it funny how we only really learn after we've messed things up a few times? I see that everywhere, not just woodworking but cooking, fixing stuff around the house, even trying to get better at video games. My neighbor tried to tile his own bathroom floor and went through three different types of grout before he figured out which one actually worked for his setup. Do you think we'd save time if we just accepted we'll mess up the first few tries at anything?
