Tried acid-free vs regular glue for my last binding project and I am begging you to spend the extra $12

I went with the cheap stuff to save a few bucks and now three of my handmade journals are already showing yellow spots on the endpapers after just 4 months, has anyone else had this happen or did I just get a bad batch of adhesive?

oh man, the "begging you to spend the extra $12" part hit me right in the wallet. i did the exact same thing last year and now my favorite notebook has this gross yellowish halo around the spine. it's like a hidden tax we all pay for being cheap, you know? i swear this stuff is the same as buying the cheap bread that goes moldy in two days versus the good loaf that lasts a week. it's not just glue, it's the whole "pay now or pay later" trap we fall into with pretty much everything. sometimes saving those few bucks just costs way more in the end.

Tape the edges before gluing next time. Saves a lot of headaches.
