Watched a guy use a bone folder on a stack of paper at a local book fair last month

He was just smoothing out the folds but the sound and precision he had made me realize I've been rushing my own work for years. Has anyone else picked up a tip just from watching someone else work?

Watching someone who knows their tools is pure gold.

Ever notice how it's not just about using the tool but knowing when NOT to use it? That's where the real craft shows up for me (the restraint, you know?). The best makers I've seen spend more time planning their cuts than actually cutting.
