Found a VHS of The Room with a whole different ending scene

Picked up a box of old tapes at a yard sale in Tulsa last weekend for $5 and there was a copy of The Room that has a scene I've never seen anywhere. It's about 3 extra minutes after the rooftop bit where Tommy Wiseau is just standing in an alley talking to himself about scotch. I compared it to the 2003 DVD rip I've had for ages and the audio is way rougher, like it was recorded off a speaker instead of the master. The colors are also shifted so everyone looks slightly green, but honestly it makes it feel more like a fever dream. Has anyone else found a cut of a movie that has bonus footage not on any official release?

Hold on, you said the audio sounds like it was recorded off a speaker. Was the whole thing shot on a camcorder pointed at a TV, or does the picture actually look like a different master? That would tell you if somebody literally bootlegged it off a screen or if this is some weird early cut. Also, what brand is the tape itself? If it's a Fuji or a Sony from a certain era, that might give you a date on when it was made.
