Switched from recording screen captures to just ripping streaming sources with OBS

Used to run my phone camera at the screen for years, but after last week's 14th botched recording I finally set OBS to capture the browser window directly... way cleaner audio and no more reflections. Has anyone else dealt with audio sync drift on longer streams?

OBS actually captures the desktop audio or browser audio directly, not the stream source itself. You're still recording a screen capture just from the computer instead of a phone. The audio sync drift thing usually happens when your recording framerate doesn't match the source framerate. Setting OBS to 30 or 60 fps and matching the stream's output usually fixes it. Also check if your audio sample rate is 44100 or 48000 and make sure both OBS and your system are set the same. I had that issue for months until I matched everything up properly.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that mismatched sample rates cause that exact glitch.
