Serious question, my foreman said the sag in our gate wouldn't matter and it cost us $400

We hung a 12 foot chain link gate in Aurora last week and my foreman told me not to bother bracing the corner post, said it was overkill. Two days later the gate dragged so bad the customer called us back and we ate the $400 to reset the post and rehang it. Has anyone else had a boss brush off something that small and have it blow up like that?
