Heads up about the new 'Planty' app update, it completely messed up my plant ID log from the last 6 months.

I mean, the old version saved everything locally on my phone, but after the forced update last Tuesday, it synced to their cloud and now half my entries for my 40+ houseplants are just gone, maybe it's just me but has anyone else had this happen and found a way to get the data back?

Sounds like my plants aren't the only thing I'm bad at keeping alive.

Read an article about how common that is. They said people often overwater plants trying to keep them alive, which drowns the roots. It's the same with some hobbies, where trying too hard makes things worse. The key seems to be stepping back and checking what's actually needed, not just doing more.

@terry_lewis21 nailed it. Overdoing it kills stuff. I see it all the time with people starting to cook. They add every spice they own to a dish, and it just becomes a salty, bitter mess. The best food comes from a few good ingredients treated right, not from throwing the whole pantry in. Same with plants, same with learning an instrument. More action isn't always the fix. Sometimes you just gotta leave it alone and let it breathe.
