Last week my greenhouse hit 115 degrees and I lost 30 seedlings in one afternoon

I left the vent cracked but a gust of wind slammed it shut while I was at work. Those pepper starts never stood a chance. Has anyone else had a freak weather event ruin a whole batch like that?

You got the vents slammed shut thing... that's brutal. I'm trying to picture what kind of latch or brace you had on there. Was it one of those cheap plastic twist-locks or did you have a bungee cord holding it open? I ask because I had a similar close call with a spare tent and a cheap clip, and now I only use ratchet straps on anything that could move in the wind.

Those cheap twist-locks fail on everything, not just greenhouses. I see the same pattern in people trusting flimsy hardware for important stuff all the time.

Did you always trust those cheap clips too until one failed on you?
