My neighbor's prize hosta got dug up by a badger and now there's a 3 foot hole where it lived
Two weeks ago in Spokane my neighbor Carol had the biggest hosta on the block, easily 3 feet across, and she bragged about it at every cookout. A badger got into her yard on a Thursday night and tore it out of the ground so hard there's a crater there now, roots and all, gone. She's talking about planting a cactus instead, so do badgers actually go after garden plants or did this one just have a grudge?
